Switzerland.
- Please always present your bike ticket to the conductor when showing your passenger ticket without being asked to do so.
- Bike tickets are accepted by SBB, Postbus and numerous Swiss public transport operators.
- Public transport services within the area of validity of the Zurich public transport authority (Zürcher Verkehrsverbund - ZVV) also accept bike tickets (with the exception of some local busses).
- Special bikes (e.g. tandems, recumbent bikes), that do not fit in a normal bicycle rack or are more than 2 m long cost double the fares listed.
- Bike trailers (max. 60 cm wide) count as bikes.

Special offers
- Children with a Junior Card and children under six can take a children's bike or trailer bike with them free of charge as long as they are accompanied by their parents and their parents are in possession of a valid bike ticket.
The same rules apply to the Grandchild Card and the STS "Familiy Card".
Abroad.
- An international bike ticket can be purchased for the following destinations: Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Italy with restrictions, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary (not valid on boats).
