Save money every time you travel: with the Half-Fare travelcard, available for one, two or three years or in combination with a Visa card, you pay just half-price for your ticket – 1st or 2nd class.
The Half-Fare travelcard is valid on all SBB routes, and those of most private rail operators throughout Switzerland – as well as on a large number of Swiss mountain railways. The Half-Fare travelcard is also valid on postbuses, and on many of lake and river boats. In most cities and urban areas the Half-Fare travelcard entitles you to reduced fares on short-distance public transport services like trams and buses.
And what's more, the Half-Fare travelcard entitles you to discounts on RailAway leisure trips, including those in the "Discover Switzerland" range.
Over short distances (because of minimum fare), on reduced tickets or for some combined offers with add-ons, the discount with a Half-Fare travelcard may be less than 50%.

The Half-Fare travelcard for 16-year-olds.
The Half-Fare travelcard for 16-year-olds is a special form of the card at a reduced price for young persons who have reached the age of 16 and would like to buy their first Half-Fare travelcard. Example: If you were born in 1993, you reach the age of 16 in 2009 – and if you buy the Half-Fare travelcard for 16-year-olds this year, it costs you only CHF 93.
